Cherished

emphasized textThis is the third book of a trilogy that follows the fortunes of three young members of the Devereux family as they escape from the violence of revolution-torn France to England and North America.

Leon’s story: At sixteen, high-born Lady Emily Brockton had been forced by circumstances to wed the notorious, seductive Leon Devereux. But theirs had been a marriage in name only, and the handsome rakebell had soon set sail for America, leaving his chaste young bride alone and at the mercy of every fortune-hunting scoundrel in the ton. Five years alter, they would meet againt at a society ball, when a masked stranger swept Emily into his virile embrace. But it was a dangerous destiny that had brought Devereux back to England and to the woman he’d sworn to possess at all costs. And even as Emily found herself surrendering to his searing caress, a treacherous enemy threatened to tear her forever from the arms of the man she’d vowed never to love, but now could no longer live without!
