The service
Booklabria is a social platform for readers and authors: book discovery, libraries and reviews, author profiles, and ARC campaigns with protected file delivery. It is currently a closed beta — features are still being finished, some content is clearly marked demo material, and things will change as we build.
Your account
- One account per person; author capability is an upgrade to the same account, never a second identity requirement.
- You must be at least 16 to use Booklabria.
- Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Impersonating another person or publishing under a pen name you have no right to use is not allowed.
Your content and your rights
Everything you create here — books, samples, posts, comments, reviews, images — remains yours. You grant Booklabria only the license needed to host and display that content on the platform, to the audience you chose. This license ends for content you delete, except in backups that expire on schedule and in moderation records where the law or safety requires keeping them.
Publishing on Booklabria is not exclusive. Nothing here limits where else you can publish, sell or promote your work.
ARC copies
- Advance copies are for your personal reading only — sharing, reselling or republishing an ARC file is a serious violation.
- Downloads are limited per application and delivered through expiring links; circumventing these protections is prohibited.
- Authors must hold the rights to every file they distribute through a campaign.
Honest reviews
Reviews on Booklabria must reflect the reviewer's genuine opinion. Buying, selling or trading reviews is prohibited, and no one may offer or accept any reward tied to a rating's positivity. ARC reputation measures reliability — reading and reviewing on time — and never how favorably someone rates.
Acceptable use
The Community guidelines are part of these terms. In short: no harassment, no hate, no spam, no deception, and nothing illegal. We may hide content, warn, or suspend accounts as the guidelines describe; every moderation action is logged and taken by a human.
The beta, honestly
- The service is provided as-is during the beta; features may change or be removed as we build.
- We work hard to protect your data, and the Privacy policy describes exactly what we store — but a beta is not a finished archive. Keep your own copies of manuscripts and important writing.
- Payments are disabled platform-wide. Nothing in these terms creates any fee or charge during the beta.
Ending things
You can delete your account at any time (see the Privacy policy for how). We can suspend accounts that break these terms, following the process in the Community guidelines, and you can appeal any action by replying to the notice you receive.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Booklabria after that means you accept the new terms.
