Color in interior design

In this beautiful reference work - the only one of its kind created solely for interior designers and design students - a famed practitioner and teacher offers a thorough foundation in all aspects of color. He firmly believes that a gift for color depends not on a mysterious inborn talent or "good taste," but on a set of professional skills that all of us can develop, hone, and enjoy.

You will rediscover the principles of color, from science to psychological effects, always within the context of designing successful interior spaces. Some 300 illustrations - photographs, color charts, diagrams, and renderings - provide visual explication and real-world examples. Here you can survey the world from ancient Egypt to postmodern America to marvel at the use of color in historic interiors. And study the color innovations of such contemporary masters as Michael Graves, Suzanne Sekey, Norman Diekman, Shashi Caan, Alfredo De Vido, and Vignelli Associates.
