ACROSS THE BOUNDLESS WEST... With her half-brothers mysteriously slain, Eve Michaels rides out of the Missouri trapper camp -- only to be seized by Spanish slavers at a western river fort. Then, as the hills echo with the sound of drums, she sees him... a magnificent Indian warrior.

FATE FORETOLD THEIR PASSION... Steve McCloud is out for revenge. With the Shoshoni who call him Sun Cloud, he raids slaver's forts. There, dressed in beaded doeskin, is a woman whose exotic beauty cannot hide her mixed blood. But where she comes from, she will not say. ...AND A LOVE AS WILD AS THE LAND Yet even as McCloud draws Eve into his sheltering embrace, visions of a long ago past threaten their future and the love that could be their doom... or their only salvation.
