Love's Lying Eyes

Armed with her new identity, Bethany Simpson's arrival in America marked the end of her poverty-stricken, lonely life. For when she married one of Baltimore's richest men, everything she'd dreamed of would be hers.... Or so she thought until she met her would-be fiancé's older brother. At first, his concern and generosity deeply moved her, and his slightest touch sent her senses reeling, making her want him desperately. But when his warm, brown gaze turned dark, suspiciously probing hers, she was afraid he would discover who and what she really was and turn her away, leaving her hopelessly yearning for a love that could never die.

From her silken, golden tresses to her luminous green eyes, his young English cousin was undoubtedly the most beautiful woman Ross Farenholt had ever seen. But something about her disturbed him. Maybe it was that she bore no family resemblance or that too many questions about her past remained unanswered. No matter, because if his suspicions proved true, then not even honor would prevent him from stripping away her artful charade. He would sweep her into his arms, relentlessly savor her ruby lips, and masterfully stroke her lush curves until he was free of the spell of LOVE'S LYING EYES.
