Scandal's lady

LOVE LOST What a shock it had been to learn that the new Earl of Lynton was her girlhood friend, Nicholas St. John! Many years ago, he had rescued her from a scandalous scene, and Cassandra had never been able to forget his bright blue eyes and warm, charming smile. She also knew her place--a mere governess could not hope to land an eligible earl. Yet Cassandra could not help the delightful thrill that went through her each time Nicholas was near--or deny the flutter in her heart as she dreamed of rediscovering a long-ago love...

LOVE FOUND After nearly twenty years at sea, Nicholas St. John had mixed feelings about taking on the family title, particularly with all the fashionable ladies setting their caps for him. But his spirits took a pleasant turn when he discovered that Cassandra Aldrich was his new next-door neighbor. Yet once she removed her spectacles and mobcap, he wondered whether mere friendship would be enough. With her glorious red hair, flawless skin and entrancing features, she put the society beauties to shame. His Cassie was a fine catch, indeed--and he intended to be the one to snare her heart!
