The Tempestuous Petticoat

This beguiling novel unfolds the tale of a bold young woman who defies all odds to protect her orphaned brother and sister.

Left nearly penniless by her father, spunky Martha Lingford takes the children to visit their crusty old grandfather who has disowned them. She is prepared for him and his meanness. But she is not prepared for Drum Connington, the dashing young dandy who appears to find her attractive. Love is something Martha has never thought about--until now. Set in late 18th-century England, this enchanting novel brings to vivid life the sights and sounds of a colorful bygone era--and a romantic adventure that will touch your heart.
