Pen name · Mystery
Nan Truesdale grew up two towns from the end of a railroad line and has never entirely gotten over it. She writes the Teasel Depot mysteries, about a small Pennsylvania borough, a basement full of things nobody came back for, and the woman who keeps the list. She is a slow walker and an aggressive user of public libraries.
Nan Truesdale writes the Teasel Depot mysteries. She grew up in a Pennsylvania county with one funeral home, one pharmacy with a lunch counter, and a rail branch that ran twice a day and complained about it. She spent an unglamorous decade in an office that decided whether people’s accounts of their own belongings were true, which turned out to be excellent training for writing a detective who has no gun, no badge, and no intention of minding her own business.
She lives near the end of a different line now, with a garden she keeps badly and a stack of other people’s photographs she has not managed to throw away.
