Content warnings and things you avoid
Books carry content warnings from a shared list; what you marked as avoid is filtered from recommendations and flagged elsewhere.
For readers and authors · updated 2026-09-12
Authors tag books with content warnings from a shared list and a content level; both show on the book page. Anything you marked as avoid in onboarding or under Settings › Profile is kept out of your recommendations and flagged with a warning where it appears elsewhere — it is never silently hidden from search, so you always know why a book looks the way it does.
