A Reading Circle is a small group reading the same book at the same pace. Circles are public (listed, anyone can find them), unlisted (reachable by link) or private (members only). How people join is the owner's choice: open (join instantly), by request (the owner answers; you see Request sent meanwhile and can still read a public circle's posts), or by invitation link — opening the link signed out takes you through signup and back into the circle.
